Why I Joined Pace Harmon

“The opportunity to be a part of a rapidly growing firm was really appealing to me, not to mention the opportunities for professional advancement. Coming from a huge enterprise, Pace Harmon offered a great change of pace (no pun intended) and an environment where I could really see the impact that my contributions had on the success of the firm.

I was introduced to the firm through one of the founders with whom I had worked extensively and for whom I had a great amount of professional respect. After speaking with other founding members, it was clear that Pace Harmon represented a fellowship of professionals relentlessly seeking to perfect the art of sourcing, and I embraced the opportunity to contribute.”

What I Like about Pace Harmon

“We provide a delivery approach that is unique among sourcing advisors – the ability to deliver strategically important work, but with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to project execution. We take the time to listen to our clients, leveraging our experiences and tools, but not relying upon templates and benchmarks as a replacement for independent and creative thinkinging.

I love that we have the mandate to work collaboratively with our clients to develop the best possible solution, which typically strikes the right balance between aspirational (to ensure the benefits are significant and transformational) and practical (so that our clients have the ability to actually implement and realize the planned benefits).”

The Kind of Work I Do

“I primarily support business process optimization projects, which often contain elements of process reengineering, technology enablement, shared services, and outsourcing. We don’t have a predisposition towards a particular outcome – we try to identify the best solution for our clients’ unique business environments. There is no standard daily routine, which appeals to me. On any given day, I may be facilitating process design discussions, presenting a deliverable to a CFO, creating a detailed business case, crafting requirements for an RFP, or pursuing a lead for the next project.”
