Why I Joined Pace Harmon
"Coming from a start-up background, I was looking for a more established company where I could learn from managers and coworkers who are experts in the industry. I was attracted to a smaller company because of the level of responsibility you can earn starting day one. I also liked the idea of experiencing a variety of medium term projects across the IT industry with fortune 500 clients and working with different teams."
What I Like about Pace Harmon
“The people! Because we staff projects with small teams where we frequently travel together, I have gotten to know my teams very well. Even though I didn’t start with “a class,” I’ve become close with a number of analysts and they make the day-to-day fun and wherever you’re traveling feels like home. I also love the variety of work we do, no two projects are the same! It keeps the job interesting because you’re always learning."
The Kind of Work I Do
“The type of project largely dictates the type of work, but I’ve done everything from helping a large data migration to developing an RFP to managing a $450M + program. On my current project, I create financial models, develop communications for client executives, and produce program deliverables.
Within the firm, I lead the Policy team within the Women’s Initiative Network and help organize social events, such as hikes, community service and happy hours for the Tyson’s Corner office.”
