Transition
Significant transitional activity is required in two principal areas - the seamless incorporation of the vendor into the enterprise’s production environment (i.e., integration of process and technology), and the development and application of vendor and contract management processes (i.e., monitor, manage, and control vendor performance).
We apply lessons learned from previous vendor migrations to our internal program management methodology to provide a comprehensive offering that addresses common transition pitfalls and establishes the appropriate contract and vendor management structure. This ensures that contract value is retained through the transition and in the steady-state environment.
Examples of transitional support services include:
- Management of the transition between procurement and vendor management groups
- Establishment of vendor / contract management activities and processes to meet agreement obligations
- Development and implementation of Key Performance Indicator (KPI) and Service Level Agreement (SLA) tracking methodologies
- Steady-state process development (e.g., volume forecasting, product staging, testing, acceptance)
- Migration planning and program management of implementation / migration activities
- Provision of technical and programmatic oversight for vendor activities during supplier transition
- Development of governance processes to ensure vendor alignment with the overall governance model for the enterprise
