Logistics and Distribution
We help our clients outsource warehousing and logistics infrastructure and determine the best deal structure to optimize the clients' operating strategy (e.g., financial preferences for operating versus capital expense management). Typical activities include:
- Assessment of the current state distribution strategy, including optimizing inventory flow paths, shipment configurations, and distribution center location(s)
- Assessment of organizational readiness and benefits to be gained by utilizing an outsourced model
- Definition of the scope of processes that can be outsourced as well as the processes that will be retained internally or must be implemented in order to ensure a successful transition
- Development of demand models, business and technical requirements, and drafting RFx's
- Identification and selection of the most suitable outsourced vendor(s)

- Development of the processes for transitioning services to the outsourced vendor, including warehouse decommissioning (if necessary), inventory disposition and repositioning, new facility implementation, and overall project management
